Job Summary
Cavli Wireless is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Cochin. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in high-speed hardware design, Qualcomm-based platforms, and System on Module (SOM) development.
You will play a key role in designing and developing advanced wireless communication hardware solutions for IoT applications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge cellular IoT products in a fast-growing technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
    • Design and develop hardware circuits for wireless communication systems including amplifiers, filters, oscillators, transceivers, and high-speed digital interfaces.
    • Lead high-speed design activities including signal integrity considerations, impedance matching, controlled impedance routing, and high-speed layout reviews.
    • Work extensively on Qualcomm-based platforms for cellular IoT modules and embedded systems.
    • Contribute to the design and development of System on Module (SOM) solutions.
    • Develop schematic designs using industry-standard EDA tools (Altium Designer / Cadence Allegro).
    • Collaborate with PCB layout engineers, firmware teams, system architects, and manufacturing teams for seamless hardware integration.
    • Perform schematic reviews, design verification, validation testing, and debugging.
    • Conduct simulation and analysis using tools such as ADS, Microwave Office, or equivalent.
    • Create and maintain accurate component libraries including symbols and footprints.
    • Troubleshoot hardware issues and optimize performance to meet design and compliance requirements.
    • Ensure timely completion of design milestones in fast-paced, time-critical projects.
    • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
    • 5–10 years of hands-on experience in hardware design.
    • Strong expertise in High-Speed Design (signal integrity, EMI/EMC considerations, high-speed routing).
    • Proven experience working with Qualcomm chipsets/platforms.
    • Experience in System on Module (SOM) development.
    • Proficiency in EDA tools such as Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro.
    • Hands-on experience with lab equipment (Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, etc.).
    • Experience with hardware simulation and validation tools.
    • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience in Cellular IoT / Wireless Communication domain is highly preferred.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
