Job Title: Inventory Controller

Role Overview
The Inventory Controller will be responsible for end-to-end inventory management at Cavli Wireless, ensuring accurate tracking, valuation, and control of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. This role requires close coordination with Procurement, Production, Quality, Job Work vendors, and Sales to maintain optimal stock levels, track inventory movements in real time, and provide accurate reporting for operational and financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Receipt & Dispatch
  • Oversee receipt of Raw Materials (RM) from suppliers, ensuring proper documentation, inspection, and GRN process.
  • Manage timely dispatch of RM to job work vendors, maintaining accurate shipment and cost records.
  • Receive semi-finished goods from job works and coordinate with the Quality team for inspection and approvals.
  • Oversee movement of goods through the SMT process and final assembly until ready for shipment.
  • Coordinate with Logistics for timely dispatch of goods for sales orders or intercompany transfers.
2. Inventory Tracking & Valuation
  • Maintain real-time tracking of inventory quantities and cost at each stage—RM, WIP, FG.
  • Update and monitor ERP records to reflect accurate inventory positions and historical cost data.
  • Monitor current shipments and provide periodic status updates to internal stakeholders.
3. Controls & Compliance
  • Implement and monitor inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage, pilferage, and obsolescence.
  • Conduct periodic and cycle counts, reconcile physical inventory with ERP records, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support month-end and year-end inventory closing for accurate cost reporting.
4. Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare regular inventory reports for management, including quantity, value, variances, and aging analysis.
  • Highlight potential stockouts, excess inventory, and slow-moving items for proactive action.
  • Provide inputs to Finance for accurate cost accounting and valuation.

Qualifications & Skills
Education
  • Cost Accountant (ICWA / CMA) or Bachelor’s/Master’s in Engineering or related field.
  • Additional certification in Supply Chain Management / Inventory Control is an advantage.
Experience
  • 3–6 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in electronics manufacturing or IoT/telecom industry.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end inventory processes from RM receipt to FG dispatch.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
Skills
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of costing principles and inventory valuation methods (FIFO, Weighted Average).
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
